GG Power and Phenikaa University Sign Comprehensive MOU

Hanoi, December 19, 2025 – GG Industrial Joint Stock Company (GG Power) and Phenikaa University have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on comprehensive cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research, and knowledge transfer, aiming to develop high-quality human resources for the energy sector.

Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on research and development (R&D) of technologies related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Battery Management Systems (BMS), while promoting the application of research outcomes in practical production and commercialization.

In parallel with R&D activities, the cooperation program also focuses on workforce training and development through internships, industrial placements, recruitment initiatives, and professional capacity-building for students. Phenikaa University and GG Power will jointly utilize laboratories, testing centers, and technology application models to enhance hands-on learning experiences and practical exposure for students.

Mr. Bui Xuan Binh, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GG Power, emphasized:
“This comprehensive cooperation with Phenikaa University represents an important step in GG Power’s sustainable development strategy. It provides an opportunity for us and the university to develop high-quality human resources, strengthen the linkage between research, education, and manufacturing, and bring scientific research outcomes into real-world applications in testing, production, and the deployment of BESS projects in Vietnam and international markets.”

Representing Phenikaa University, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice President of Phenikaa University and Principal of the Phenikaa School of Engineering, shared:

“The partnership with GG Power opens up highly significant opportunities for students of the Phenikaa School of Engineering, particularly those enrolled in Automotive Engineering, Electric Vehicle Battery Technology, and related programs. Through this collaboration, students gain structured and professional access to real-world working environments, enabling them to apply academic knowledge to practical challenges faced by enterprises. At the same time, students can directly participate in research, development, and the proposal of optimized solutions in the clean energy sector, thereby not only enhancing their professional competencies and career skills but also making meaningful contributions to the sustainable development of businesses and the nation.”

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between GG Power and Phenikaa University reflects the long-term and strategic commitment of both parties to jointly build and develop an integrated ecosystem encompassing research, education, and technology application. Through this cooperation, the two sides aim to enhance Vietnam’s energy industrial capabilities, accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy, and strengthen the country’s deeper integration into the global value chain.

GG Power’s manufacturing plant, with a designed capacity of up to 6 GWh per year for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products serving industrial, commercial, and residential applications, is expected to be inaugurated and officially put into operation in early 2026. The facility is regarded as one of the most technologically advanced BESS manufacturing plants in Vietnam at present, creating substantial opportunities for practical collaboration in research, training, and technology transfer.
