Profit Driven by Proactive Energy Control and Digitalized Operations
In August 2025, GG Power officially put into operation an EV charging station integrated with the BESS C&I 836 energy storage system at Âu Cơ, Tây Hồ, Hanoi. This marks the first EV charging station model in Vietnam to apply battery energy storage technology with the objective of securing power supply autonomy, optimizing electricity costs, and enhancing overall business efficiency.
After more than four months of real-world operation, data recorded by the Energy Management System (EMS) shows that BESS is not merely a technical solution, but has evolved into a solid foundation for generating sustainable profits for the charging station.

Revenue Growth
A defining characteristic of EV charging stations is their high and highly variable load demand. During peak hours, elevated electricity tariffs significantly increase the cost per charging session, directly impacting the station’s overall business performance.
At the Âu Cơ charging station, the Energy Management System (EMS) plays a central role by:
-
Optimizing power distribution between the grid and the BESS based on time-of-use
-
Charging the BESS during off-peak hours
-
Discharging stored energy to serve EV charging demand during peak hours
Thanks to this operating mechanism, the charging station can maintain and even expand charging capacity during peak periods without increasing electricity costs—thereby directly boosting revenue compared to models that do not utilize BESS.
Results after more than 4 months of operation:
-
Additional total profit of nearly VND 350 million
-
Average monthly profit exceeding VND 80 million
These figures are compiled directly from actual operational data and real revenue, clearly demonstrating the economic effectiveness of BESS when intelligently dispatched by EMS.
Reduced Operational Cost Burden
One of the biggest concerns for investors when deploying BESS is operational complexity and high technical requirements. At the Âu Cơ charging station, this challenge has been comprehensively addressed through the EMS platform.
-
Full automation of power dispatch processes
-
Remote system monitoring and operation
-
Reduced need for on-site technical personnel
As a result, the BESS operates efficiently within the charging station system without creating additional operational or management costs, while maintaining stable performance throughout its lifecycle.
Operational Safety Assurance
Beyond economic performance, safety is a non-negotiable factor in EV charging station operations. At GG Power, EMS is not only an energy management platform, but also a proactive safety layer protecting the entire charging station.
Through EMS, the system provides:
-
Early warnings of overload risks or abnormal conditions
-
Proactive adjustments to minimize fire and short-circuit risks
-
Immediate support in power outage scenarios
Remote monitoring and real-time alerts via application significantly reduce operational risks, providing long-term peace of mind for investors throughout the system’s lifecycle of over 10 years.
With nearly VND 350 million in additional profit generated in just over four months, the Âu Cơ project clearly proves that BESS—when properly operated and intelligently managed by EMS—is not merely a technical solution, but a powerful economic lever for EV charging stations.
