GG Power commissions a 448 kWp rooftop solar system at the AUTOMECH plant in Bac Ninh under a PPA partnership

On October 3, 2025, GG Power Group JSC (GGP), in cooperation with Automech Mold & Tools Automation Equipment Manufacturing JSC (AUTOMECH), held the commissioning ceremony for a 448 kWp rooftop solar system at Dinh Tram Industrial Park, Viet Yen, Bac Ninh, Vietnam. The project is implemented under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model to optimize electricity costs and advance AUTOMECH’s green and sustainable manufacturing goals..

Key project figures

  • Installed capacity: 448 kWp

  • Expected clean generation: 582.4 MWh/year

  • Estimated emissions reduction: ~380 tons of CO₂/year

  • Location: Dinh Tram Industrial Park, Viet Yen, Bac Ninh

  • Collaboration model: PPA – GG Power invests and operates; AUTOMECH purchases electricity based on actual consumption

At the ceremony, Mr. Dao Hoang Duy – Vice President of Sales & Marketing, representing GG Power – and Mr. Nguyen Vu Quang – Deputy Plant Director of AUTOMECH – signed to officially put the system into operation. This milestone underscores the two companies’ commitment to energy efficiency, operating cost optimization, and greenhouse-gas reduction.

PPA model – cost optimization with minimal upfront capex
Under the PPA structure, GG Power is responsible for investment, installation, operation, and maintenance, while AUTOMECH pays per kWh at a competitive rate. This approach eliminates large upfront capital expenditure, aligns energy costs with production needs, and supports AUTOMECH’s ESG and sustainable manufacturing agenda.

Technical & environmental benefits
The system is expected to generate approximately 582.4 MWh of clean electricity annually, helping avoid around 380 tons of CO₂ each year, thereby contributing to AUTOMECH’s renewable-energy transition objectives.

Phase 2 roadmap – Hybrid BESS
In Phase 2, GG Industries (within the GG ecosystem) plans to deploy a Hybrid BESS solution to increase on-site consumption, shave peak demand, enhance overall investment efficiency, and accelerate project payback. The BESS integration will also stabilize power quality and optimize costs under time-of-use tariffs.

GG Power extends sincere thanks to AUTOMECH and all partners for their collaboration and support that enabled the project’s successful commissioning.
